VPT gives students and instructors a practical way to work with aircraft performance, and is already used by aviation training organisations in dispatcher and pilot training.
For simulation and training use only. Not approved for real-world flight operations.
VPT is used during dispatcher training to teach aircraft performance calculations and demonstrate the impact of aircraft configuration, operating conditions and weight & balance.

EPST uses the VPT API to run performance calculations through its own interface for student pilots and instructors as part of its MCC training environment.
Visit EPST websiteVPT started as a small personal project — simply because the performance tool I wanted for flight simulation didn't exist. What began as something built for my own flights gradually grew into a platform used by virtual pilots and organisations around the world.
A few years later, VPT is still a small Belgian team. I continue to develop the product while flying the 747, bringing with me the experience gained along the way — from the 737 to the 747, and from working increasingly closely with airline performance specialists and professional aviation data providers.
That small-team approach is something we want to keep. Development, support and feedback remain close together, and the people building VPT are still the people talking to the community every day.
Sacha founded VPT and builds it end to end. He's a 747 pilot for a European airline with almost ten years of flying experience, including the 737-700, 737-800, 737 MAX 8, 747-400F and 747-8F. He develops VPT, works on its performance logic, implements user feedback and handles much of the direct support.
Katia brings her administration and commercial experience to VPT, helping with administration and accounting, coordinating sponsored events and keeping in touch with virtual airlines. She also prepares the VPT newsletter and supports the day-to-day organisation behind the project.
